Plesiodragon - Water Dragon Sculpture

Species: Scottish Water Dragon

Lifespan: 80 years

Adult weight: 5 tonnes.(midweight)

Appearance: The scottish water dragon comes in a variety of hues. They range from a very pale lavender colour, to a deep turquoise.

Habitat & Life: Lives in the water but breathes air. Can hold it's breath for several hours when it is an adult. Hatchlings can hold their breath for 10-30 minutes. Their skin must stay moist, otherwise they may die from dehydration.

Personality: The scottish water dragon is extremely playful and loyal. Whilst not the most intelligent species, they are very entertaining. This species is quite clumsy on land, yet extremely elegant in the water.

The scottish water dragon has often been mistaken as the "Loch Ness Monster" To those who are not familiar with dragons.

This plesiodragon feeds on small fish as a hatchling, yet moves onto bigger fish once an adult. It has a particular affinity for Tuna, and shellfish. It will often be found scouring the ocean floor for food.

The plesio is not a popular pet among dragon owners, for it is a non-flying species. However it is extremely popular among those who live by water - or others who enjoy fishing. They make extremely fun companions.
